Hi, I’m LaTonia Simmons, M.A., M.Ed., a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern. I believe that every person is the expert of their own story, and my role is to support, guide, and walk alongside you on your journey to healing and self-discovery. I strive to create a safe, respectful, and empowering space where you feel truly seen and heard. My approach is grounded in empathy, authenticity, and the belief that meaningful growth happens when you’re supported without judgment. With over five years of experience as a Mental Health Therapist and a community volunteer since 2011, I bring heartfelt dedication and depth to my work with children and families. Holding dual Master's degrees and a Child Welfare Case Management Certificate, I merge clinical expertise with compassion and creativity.
I’m well known for my people skills, organizational savvy abilities, and capacity to build meaningful networks. Outside of work, I find joy in painting, writing, nature adventures, and spending time with my husband and children. All while also being fully involved and a proud member/servant in community outreach, the weekly prayer call, Women's Ministry and Children's Ministry.
My vision for the future includes a private practice that offers focus groups, anger management, nurturing parenting classes, and youth spaces that encourage emotional expression and support for single mothers. The heart of my brand draws inspiration from the symbolism of trees: being grounded, resilient, and growing upward, with the power of thought and presence as its foundation. Her favorite color, green, reflects her definition of love, and a connection to healing, growth, and renewal.
