Jenasys Jorgensen
Mental Health Counseling Intern
Hello! My name is Jenasys Jorgensen and I am a Mental Health Counseling Intern. I graduated with my Master’s degree in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Sciences from the University of South Florida.
Through my training and clinical experience, I have developed a strong passion for supporting individuals through a wide range of life challenges, including anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and major life transitions. I also have experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults, and I enjoy helping clients in these stages of life navigate identity development, emotional challenges, and everyday stressors while building confidence and coping skills.
My approach to counseling is primarily humanistic, meaning I believe in meeting each client with empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, valued, and empowered in your own healing process.
I also incorporate evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and person-centered techniques, tailoring treatment to fit each individual’s unique needs and goals. I believe that every person has the capacity for growth and healing, and my role is to walk alongside you as you move toward the life you want to create.
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me. I look forward to working with you.
